Description

Full receiver redundancy. Half the board space.

The KopterMax A/B Failover Switch Compact delivers the same proven 12-channel failover performance as the standard version — in a smaller, lighter form factor built for weight-sensitive and space-constrained UAVs.

The moment your primary receiver fails, all 12 channels switch to the backup in under 1 millisecond. Software-defined per-channel failsafe values give you precise control over every output. Channel configuration uses solder bridges on the back of the board, making it ideal for permanent, set-and-forget installations.

Unique features

  • 12 RC channels switch simultaneously in under 1 millisecond
  • 3 independent channel groups — each group can switch individually
  • 12 software-generated, user-configurable failsafe output values
  • 5-way redundant power inputs — one supply is enough
  • Solder bridge channel configuration — compact and permanent
  • Active-high or active-low trigger with adjustable threshold
  • Per-group output frequency: 50 Hz or 400 Hz
  • USB-C configuration and firmware update
  • Works with any standard RC receiver
  • No drone warranty infringement

Built for permanent installations

Where the standard version uses jumper pins for easy reconfiguration, the compact version uses solder bridges — smaller, lighter, and vibration-proof once set. Connect your receivers to banks A and B, set your trigger signal, and it runs silently in the background for the life of the aircraft.

Configuration is done once via the free KopterMax Configurator software over USB-C. The same software works with all KopterMax products.

Who needs this

  • Commercial UAV operators flying beyond visual line of sight
  • Professional pilots operating in RF-congested environments
  • Operators required to demonstrate redundancy for regulatory approval
  • Survey, inspection and mapping teams who cannot afford a lost link
  • Integrators building flight termination systems
  • Anyone flying expensive aircraft where a receiver failure is unacceptable
